Since the weather in Chicago is still cruddy, I figured it was a good time to share this simple cold buster smoothie recipe with spinach, orange, apple and yogurt! It’s very easy to make and tastes great! Be sure to let me know what you think once you’ve tried it.
My body is definitely ready for spring! I know I’m not alone when I say, I’m not too happy about the winter we are (still) having. I woke up with a sore throat more than once this season and had a lag in my step.
So, what’s a girl to do?
Drink her vitamins of course. Immediately after I started drinking this tasty concoction, the ache in my throat started to fade. I’m not kidding. I mean, come on, I’m not trying to sell you smoothie recipes or anything!
Cold buster smoothie recipe with spinach, orange, apple and yogurt
Vegan, Lactose Free, Gluten Free, Soy Free
Yield: 1 Blender Full
Ingredients
- 1 granny smith apple
- 2 cups of spinach leaves
- 1 tart red apple (such as a pink lady)
- 2 oranges
- ¼ cup So Delicious cultured coconut (yogurt)
- 1-cup non-dairy milk of choice
- ¼ cup water
- 11 ice cubes (reserved)
Directions
- De-stem and wash spinach
- Wash and chop apples
- Peel oranges
- Place all ingredients, spinach first, into the blender, but reserve ice cubes
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy
- Add in 11 or so ice cubes
- Serve and sip through a straw
