Pay It Forward

Anything that we can do to give a voice to those that suffer in silence is important.  Mercy For Animals, is a national non-for-profit that serves as a voice for animals through proactive consumer education initiatives, cruelty investigations, corporate outreach, and legal advocacy. They do amazing work and I support them each year through monetary donations.

Another purposeful organization that is near and dear to my heart is ANAD, a National non-for-profit that creates awareness and provides resources for millions of people that suffer with their body image and eating disorders. Having overcome a life-threatening Eating Disorder as a young adult, I feel moved to advocate and educate through sharing my story of recovery with others. I am on their Jr. Board and have shared my story at Purdue University, Illinois High Schools, Middle Schools and Chicagoland mental health facilities.  I would be honored to speak at your event or organization.

Our youth is our future and I feel very passionate about investing efforts here. I  had the great privileged to have been a big sister to an amazing young woman for seven years.  It changed my life.  Big Brothers Big Sisters is always looking for more volunteers. Check them out. There is no age limit and they are a national organization. Think of all the memories you can create. Making a difference in one person’s life often has a domino effect.
