This past week I whipped up the best green smoothie I have ever tasted and I just have to share it with you! You do not need any other green smoothie recipe or green drink recipe. Ever. This is it. Okay, that may be a bit of an exaggeration. However, if you like bright fruit flavor, a healthy kick of vitamin C and iron and a sweet, smooth flavor and that beautiful green color, then this is your go-to green smoothie recipe.
Since we are in the midst of the Holiday season, I have coined this drink “Grinch Green Spiced Smoothie”. I am not exaggerating when I say, I have made at least 4 blender’s full in the past week and am still not sick of it! I plan to make this smoothie recipe is great year-round. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Spiced Green Smoothie
GF, Soy Free, Dairy Free, Vegan
Makes 2 servings
Ingredients
1 cup ice cubes
1 cup coconut milk (I like Silk unsweetened coconut milk)
1/4 cup So Delicious soy and dairy free cultured coconut milk (yogurt with live & active cultures)
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 whole orange with skin removed
1 cup diced pineapple (canned pineapple okay in juice)
1 cup packed, raw spinach leaves
1 tsp Madagascar vanilla
Few dashes of nutmeg or pumpkin pie spice
Few dashes of cinnamon (I like Vietnamese cinnamon)
Instructions
1. Put all ingredients in a blender
2. Blend the heck out of it until smooth, creamy and a beautiful green color
3. Pour into a large glass and enjoy
4. Repeat as often as possible
Helpful Tip: When making smoothies always put light ingredients in at the bottom so the heavier ingredients help push down for an easier blend.
