Cooking Light and Health’s The Fit Foodie 5K race weekend in Chicago

Cooking Light and Health magazines are teaming up to support the American Diabetes Association’s mission to prevent and cure diabetes with the Fit Foodie 5K Race weekend in Chicago on September 11-13. You can sign up for an entire weekend full of culinary fun and fitness or sign up for each activity a la carte.
Friday night features a pre-race VIP cocktail party where you can sample sips and bites while mingling with the magazine editors and fellow Fit Foodies ($55). Saturday is the actual Fit Foodie 5K race, which begins with a group stretch and dance party and culminates at the Finisher’s Village where runners will enjoy food, beverages and fitness and culinary demonstrations straight from the pages of Cooking Light and Health. Chef Anna Bullett (executive chef of Cooking Light), The Hearty Boys (owners of SpitzBurger and seen on The Food Network), David Reavy (founder and CEO of React Physical Therapy), Stephanie Mansour (wellness and lifestyle coach for women), and Mark Jones (aka RunMC) will all be in attendance ($55). Sunday you can join an all-levels yoga class followed by a delicious and nutritious brunch with wine at Nico Osteria ($55). Make is a weekend for just $150.00.
