Chicago Catholic Charities 15th Annual d’Vine Affair at Union League Club of Chicago
January 31, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm$125.00
If you are anything like me, you love culinary events for a great cause! Especially when those events involve trying over 250 imported wines and beers from around the world. What a better way to give back to those in need, than by doing something you love!
Join me on Sunday, January 31st, 2016 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Union League Club of Chicago for an extravagant global wine and beer tasting benefiting the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. The 15th Annual d’Vine Affair benefits Catholic Charities self-sufficiency programs, which assist more than 1 million people in Cook and Lake Counties regardless of their religious or economic background. The goal of these programs is to get people in need, self-sufficient.
“Our family self-sufficiency programs, assist low-income, single parents break the cycle of welfare and poverty. We provide education, training, employment assistant and case management for up to five years so these families can become fully self-sufficient,” said Monsignor Boland. “The d’Vine Affair directly benefits these vital programs.”
The Sunday afternoon event will feature educational seminars, tastings a silent auction and a prize raffle followed by an optional three-course dinner. The silent auction will showcase an amazing array of wine and other items, plus a raffle drawing will give guests a chance to stock up their own wine cellar! All proceeds from the event will go towards the self-sufficiency programs. Last year’s event raised more than $126,000!
